Only real music’s gonna last, y’all! All that other stuff, it’s here today and gone tomorrow… which is what makes Kenny’s massively successful career so impressive. And on November 12th, the living legend joins us right here in Thousand Oaks for a special evening of music and memories at the most perfect time of the year. That’s right, the legendary saxophonist will be gracing our stage as part of his worldwide An Evening With Kenny G Tour — and we can’t wait to share this one-of-a-kind night with you, for you! This tour will bring him through theaters and concert halls across the globe — from New York to Toronto to Tokyo and back again —honestly we’re quite lucky to catch him right here in Thousand Oaks for this once in a lifetime concert. His shows are intimate, immersive, and deeply emotional, with no opening act — just Kenny G and his band, delivering classics with their signature warmth and virtuosity - you know it’s gonna be an eclectic night you won’t want to miss.
Born Kenneth Bruce Gorelick in Seattle, Washington, Kenny G has built a decades-long legacy as the official smooth jazz king - a genre he pioneered himself. He picked up the saxophone in his early teens, and by the 1980s, his breakthrough album Duotones catapulted him into international stardom. From there, he went on to sell over 75 million records globally, and his 1992 masterpiece Breathless remains the best-selling instrumental album of all time. And while he may be synonymous with hits like “Songbird,” “Silhouette,” and “Forever in Love,” Kenny G’s true artistry lies in his ability to create sonic moments that feel timeless — each note is a story, a look into his history, each solo project showing a new side and emotion of his.
For the uninitiated (hey! No judgement here!), we recommend giving a listen to “The Moment” or “Going Home”— both encapsulate that classic Kenny G feeling: soaring, smooth, and soothing, like a soundtrack to a dream you never want to end. And if you’ve seen him live before -good- then you already know what to expect, and that there’s truly nothing like him.
We can’t wait to see you here on the 12th! Come ready to unwind, reconnect, and float away on waves of melody. We’ll save you a seat for the most perfect night of music. See ya soon.
